The James Cook Holdout is over! Keenan Allen Returns to LA with Justin Herbert

James Cook gets his contract

James Cook has been a wildcard for most of the offseason, as his contract situation was uncertain. However, he has now secured a 4-year, $48M extension, locking him in as the lead running back on the best offense in the NFL.

At the beginning of the offseason, I was big on James Cook based on what he did last year, and then as this contract situation started brewing, he was beginning to be more of a low-end RB2 for me, as I was not so sure about it anymore. Now that this situation has been resolved in the best way possible, I am refocusing on James Cook again.

Currently, in my most up-to-date rankings, I have James Cook as my RB13. He will be a high-end RB2/fringe RB1 in fantasy. What I don't see is James Cook getting a real workhorse RB1 role, but I do think he will have a majority of the snaps in Buffalo and be the red-zone RB in this offense as well.

Because the red-zone upside for James Cook is there, I will happily take James Cook at the Round 3-4 turn as he should be a very high-end RB2 this year for Fantasy Football.

Keenan Allen returns to the Chargers

Keenan Allen signs a one-year deal with the Los Angeles Chargers, making a return to LA with Justin Herbert.

I'm going to keep this one simple: I did like Tre Harris at the end of fantasy drafts, but this is no longer the case. I think Keenan Allen will easily be the WR2 even at his old age on this team, and for where he is going in fantasy drafts, he is a very safe pick for a guy who could easily pay off big time at the ADP (Pick 168). I will be taking a swing on Keenan Allen in 2025.
