Dynasty WR Tiers: The Untouchables, Elite Playmakers, and Strong Assets

Who Owns the Future? Dynasty WR Tiers Breakdown

When building a dynasty team, securing elite wide receiver talent is key to long-term dominance. But not all WR1s are created equal. Let’s break down the three tiers of dynasty wide receivers: the Untouchables, the Elite Playmakers, and the Strong Assets.

Untouchable Tier – The Cornerstones

These are the players you don’t move unless you’re getting a king’s ransom in return. They have league-winning upside, elite production, and the ability to dominate for years to come.

Malik Nabers – Finished number one in target share at 34.9%, has the volume to justify being a WR1. Ja'Marr Chase – Proven to be a top WR in the league on a Joe Burrow led offense.
Justin Jefferson – If healthy, the safest bet for top WR production, doesn’t matter who his QB is.
CeeDee Lamb – Clear number one in Dallas, has his contract and is going to continue to be elite.
Brian Thomas Jr. – With a new head coach, we know Liam Coen wants to make BTJ the clear alpha on the Jaguars.

Elite Tier – Fantasy Game Changers

These WRs are already elite fantasy producers. Some could rise into the Untouchable tier, while others will remain high-end assets that deliver consistent value year after year.

Amon-Ra St. Brown – On a high scoring offense, and is the WR1, most reliable target for Jared Goff.
Nico Collins – Houston’s WR1 with an elite young QB in C.J. Stroud.
Rashee Rice – Emerged as the clear WR1 with Patrick Mahomes as his QB.
Drake London – Continues to be the WR1 and we already saw the numbers between Kirk and Penix where his numbers only increased with Penix.
Puka Nacua – Continues to be dominant under Stafford, will only continue to be dominant.

Strong Tier – Reliable Assets with Upside

This group has the potential to vault into Elite status, but some will settle as consistently strong dynasty pieces.

A.J. Brown – Still one of the best WR’s in this league, and has a high enough target share to be a strong asset, but on an inconsistent passing offense like the Eagles, some other options might have higher upside.
Ladd McConkey – In just his rookie season, he showed us why he could be a future top WR in this league.
Jaxon Smith-Njigba – Really broke out in 2024, started to play more out of the slot and his true talent was unlocked.
Tee Higgins – Even behind Ja’Marr Chase, secures enough of a target share to be a high end WR2 in Fantasy.
Garrett Wilson – Clear WR1 on the Jets, and the talent is there, just needs more stable QB situation.

Final Takeaway

If you’re in a dynasty league, prioritize the Untouchable tier if you can, but don’t overlook the Elite playmakers who offer weekly fantasy dominance. Meanwhile, the Strong tier provides dependable production with the chance for a value explosion. Now’s the time to make your move—before your league mates do.
