STARTS/SITS For NFL Sunday and Monday Fantasy Football

We’re back again with more STARTS/SITS to help you win your fantasy league this week. Just have to say what an exciting game last night was, but honestly that Packers defense is legit, I told you to start a decent amount of players last night, but I might have to give the Packers defense a little more credit and not be so comfortable with my STARTS/SITS against them going forward.

I know none of you want to hear me ramble so let’s get into these STARTS/SITS.

START DeVonta Smith - WR Eagles

I know DeVonta Smith had a pretty bad game last week, he and A.J. Brown basically did nothing, but hear me out. The Eagles are playing the Chiefs, and in the Super Bowl we saw exactly how the Chiefs stacked that defensive line which opened things up for both A.J. and DeVonta on the outside.

We also take into account Dallas Goedert’s status for week 2 being questionable due to an knee sprain, I think we see a bounce back game for both A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith in this one.

SIT Michael Pittman Jr. - WR Colts

This is nothing against Michael Pittman Jr. as the player, but this week he is about to go up against the best cornerback in the league, Patrick Surtain. Surtain has been just lockdown when it comes to guarding the receivers. Michael Pittman Jr. is a good receiver, but Surtain is a better corner, so sit Pittman for this week.

START Javonte Williams - RB Cowboys

The Cowboys are playing the New York Giants in week two. The Giants defense actually happens to be really good, but they have a lot of issues on offense right now, which really at the end of the day it is just going to come down to fatigue on the Giants side.

The Cowboys are expected to be the 7th highest scoring offense in the NFL this week and I do think Javonte Williams will find the end-zone again in this game just like he did against the Eagles.

SIT Isiah Pacheco - RB Chiefs

I told you to start Pacheco last week, and I definitely got this one wrong. I told you that because Pacheco I believe is the most talented RB that he would be a clear start against the Chargers. I was right about the talent, but was wrong in terms of overall volume. Just doesn’t seem like the Chiefs are going to give him the RB1 role yet, and against the Eagles this won’t be a good matchup for any RB on the Chiefs.

START Brenton Strange - TE Jaguars

The Bengals defense is just so bad that every team going up against them is projected to actually put up points on the board no matter how bad the team is. I do still expect the Jaguars to be playing from behind in this game which will favor the passing game in this one.

Trevor Lawrence has 31 passing attempts in week one against the Panthers, this number could be even higher against the Bengals, I expect good games from both Brenton Strange and Brian Thomas Jr. in this one.

SIT Tony Pollard - RB Titans

I like Tony Pollard, but you saw in week one how this offense did nothing against the Broncos, and now they have to go up against another tough defense in the Rams. I just can’t trust any Tennessee Titan until they have an easy matchup.

For the 2nd week in a row the Titans are projected to be one of the worst offenses in the NFL and I am going to side with Vegas on this one here.

SIT Tyreek Hill/Jaylen Waddle - WR Dolphins

The Dolphins just looked horrible against the Colts. Also this offense has not looked explosive since week one of last year in 2024. That was the last time Tyreek Hill had a reception for over 30 yards. If Tyreek isn’t doing much than I am not going to trust Jaylen Waddle as well.

The Dolphins are projected to be a good offense this week, but I expect most of the production to come from De’Von Achane in this one, which by the way he was once again the only bright spot in this offense from week one.

START Drake Maye - QB Patriots

You saw what Daniel Jones just did to the Dolphins in week one. Well the Patriots now get to play the Dolphins and I am a huge fan of Drake Maye especially for fantasy football. He is a good passer and runs the ball as well which screams fantasy production. The Dolphins defense looked like a joke in week one and I don’t expect this to change one week later.

START Drake Maye in this one.

I have a lot more STARTS/SITS so for the sake of this newsletter being too long I will link my two tweets that I made down below if you want to see all of them:
