Big news: the Los Angeles Rams are planning on trading Cooper Kupp during the offseason. Although he hasn’t been traded yet, we can reasonably assume that Puka Nacua will dominate as the WR1 in LA.

Even with Cooper Kupp on the team this year, in the games that Puka Nacua has played, he averaged 18.8 fantasy points. He also totaled 106 targets in the 11 games he played in, two of which he didn’t even play the full 60 minutes, averaging about 9.6 targets per game.

For a more detailed breakdown, let’s remove the two games he didn’t play the full game in. This would mean Puka Nacua received a total of 98 targets in just nine games played, which is almost 11 targets per game. Puka Nacua is in line to potentially be the WR1 overall in fantasy, and this is not to take away from the other receivers on the boards because guys like Ja’Marr Chase, Justin Jefferson, and Ceedee Lamb deserve to be drafted high. The thing with Puka was that Cooper Kupp was there, and people always questioned whether Puka or Kupp would be the guy.

Even with Kupp being present on the field with Puka, Puka is already averaging WR1 numbers in fantasy. Now that he is going to be traded, it is not even going to be a question anymore on whether Puka Nacua can support WR1 numbers in fantasy because, on the one-off, he is already doing it. Now that Kupp is gone, Puka will likely get an even more significant target share on top of his already large target share.

Going into the 2025 season of fantasy football, if you have the chance to draft Puka Nacua, don’t even think twice about it, because Puka is in line to potentially have his biggest season yet.
