CeeDee Lamb: The Ultimate Fantasy WR1?
If you had CeeDee Lamb on your fantasy squad in 2024, he might have not delivered in the way most people thought he was going to for a draft pick that was in the 2-5 range in the 1st round of 2024. If we take a look closely at some numbers and understand what could have been with CeeDee Lamb, you might want to think about drafting him in the 1st round of fantasy football in 2025.
CeeDee’s Fantasy Dominance
- With Dak Prescott: 19.8 fantasy points per game
- With Cooper Rush: 17.5 fantasy points per game
It didn’t matter who was under center—Lamb was still HIM. That’s the kind of reliability you dream about when drafting a WR1.
The Numbers Don’t Lie.
2023 Season (17 games):
- Receptions: 135
- Receiving Yards: 1,749
- Yards per Catch: 13.0
- Touchdowns: 12
- Rushing Yards: 113
- Total TDs: 14
Lamb balled out in 2023, finishing as the top fantasy WR and earning his third Pro Bowl selection.
2024 Season (15 games):
- Receptions: 101
- Receiving Yards: 1,194
- Yards per Catch: 11.8
- Touchdowns: 6
- Rushing Yards: 70
- Total TDs: 6
Despite missing two games due to a shoulder injury, Lamb still put up elite numbers and locked in his fourth straight Pro Bowl. Even when defenses knew the ball was coming his way, they couldn’t stop him.

What Could Have Been?
Had Lamb played a full 17-game slate at his Prescott pace, he would’ve racked up 336.6 fantasy points, which would’ve made him the WR2 overall in 2024, only behind Ja’Marr Chase. Imagine what that could’ve done for your fantasy team. That’s championship-winning production.
So… Is He Worth a High Draft Pick in 2025?
Lamb was a top 3-5 pick in most redraft leagues last year, and there’s no reason to believe he won’t be worth a first-rounder again in 2025. He’s got volume, talent, and the ability to torch any defense. The only real question? Can he take his game to an even higher level?
If you want a set-it-and-forget-it WR1, CeeDee is your guy. The only thing left to ask is—are you willing to spend a first-rounder to make him the face of your fantasy squad?
