Bo Nix finished QB7 overall in 2024 during his rookie season, yet somehow, he's flying under the radar in early drafts. He wasn't in an ideal situation, but that didn't stop him from putting up substantial numbers week after week. Now, with a more complete supporting cast, he could be in line for an even bigger year.
Breaking Down His Rookie Numbers:
Fantasy Points Per Game: 18.7
Total Fantasy Points: 317.2
Rushing Yards: 430 (on 92 attempts)
Passing Yards: 3,775
Touchdowns/Interceptions: 29/12
These are impressive numbers for a rookie QB, and with key additions in the offseason, Bo Nix's numbers could look even better in 2025. Even so, he proved a dual-threat asset who could do it through the air and on the ground.
Why Nix Could Be Even Better in 2025
Additions To The Offense – With Evan Engram, Bo Nix gets a reliable tight end in the passing game. Engram is a high-volume target who can help open things up underneath while taking pressure off the outside receivers.
Adding To The Run-Game – The Broncos could draft a new RB, which would help take some pressure off Nix and allow for a more efficient offense. A more decisive ground game means better play-action opportunities and fewer forced throws.
Can Add Some Rushing Upside – Nix isn't a pure pocket passer. 430 rushing yards on 92 attempts shows he's not afraid to take off and make plays with his legs. That extra rushing upside gives him a higher fantasy floor than many other QBs in his range.
Current ADP at QB10?
It doesn't add up. Bo Nix finished as the QB7 overall, yet he's being drafted as QB10. That's a discount for fantasy managers willing to take advantage. If the pieces around him improve as expected, he could easily outperform his ADP and finish as a top-6 QB in 2025.
Final Take: Are We Drafting Bo Nix?
As it stands, Bo Nix is currently being undervalued. Bo Nix already finished as a top-10 QB in his rookie season, and with the situation around him only improving, there is no reason to think that he can't at least do what he did last year or even outperform. Drafting Lamar, Josh Allen, or Jayden Daniels will give you high-end QB1 production. Still, if you're adding depth to the RB and WR position in the earlier rounds, Bo Nix is a guy you could draft in the later rounds in 2025, still providing low-end QB1 upside.
